Hi everyone, and welcome to the TOEFL b class blog. Each week in the second half of the semester, I will ask you to write a practice TOEFL essay and to post it to this blog. I think there are two main ways you can write your essay. 1: You can write within the 30 minute time limit of the TOEFL exam and see how much (and how well) you can write. Or 2: You can spend more time writing your essay. I do not mind which style you choose. However, I do ask you to find the time to briefly read through your essay and to edit it if necessary. I also encourage you to read your classmates' essays to pick up some essay writing ideas. Once the deadline for posting your essay has passed, I will post an "example answer" for your reference. I also recommend you to write your essay in Word, and then to cut and paste it into the comment section, to avoid losing your essay. You should aim for about 300 words. Make sure you write your name in your response.
Please write an essay answering the following question: "What is the best age to marry? Give reasons and examples to support your response."

返信削除It is very important to consider what age is the best age to get married because the society is getting materialistic recently and marriage is also getting difficult for many people.
I think many teenagers are not mature enough to understand responsibilities of having a partner for their lives. Being mentally mature is essential to get married and we have to experience many things in the society in order to reach mental maturity. So I think teenagers should not get married.
It is clear that having good income jobs is extremely difficult and the society is getting materialistic. I think marriage without financial stability is just a tragedy. In order to be financially stable, we must work hard until 30 years old at least, and needless to say, we have to work harder after marriage.
Considering reasons above, the best age to get married is above 30.

I think the best age to marry is 28 years old. I have some reasons why it is best age to marry. First, as about six years pass when you graduate from your university, you will get your job and you will have some money to be able to support your family. Second, the date which is investigated about best age to marry shows many people who were married at 28 years old have the least rate of the divorce. Therefore, I think the best age to marry is 28.

I have two reasons to say that.
First, I think most of people settle their job and business part about 25 years old.
And I guess people about 25 years old can afford to live on their own, to bring up own baby because people get some money. For example, they work at a normal company. They could get about three or four hundred thousand. So they could live some rich and bring up own baby.
Second, I think that to bring up own baby connect their hearts with rich. So I suppose that to marry till 25 years old and to have own baby till 30 years old is best. This is because they learn the nature of society by having own baby. For example, by having own baby can learn a way of many social manners. When they go to park with their baby, they would talk with neighbor about many things. So, they learn the manners.
This is why I think the best age to marry is about 25.

I think the best age to marry is around the latter twenty. I have some reasons why I say that.
First, we will graduate from university, and we will get a job which we want to work.
I think that it take three or four years to be accustomed to own working. It is important that we need to experience various things in the society, and we have better develop human nature .
Also we have to save the money enough to get along with partner. For example, we immediate marry after graduating from university. But we have not enough money to deal with various things.
Besides we will get the baby. I think it is no wonder that parent want to have child taking good life.
It costs more money as growing up child so we have to work before marriage, and we have to work harder than we used to work.
Recently, there is tend to marry after they get the baby among young people. But I wonder if they consider things which I stated. In this point I don’t understand it adequately.

返信削除I think that the best age to marry is between 23 to 28.The first reason, I think parenting is very hard work. So, only young people can do parenting. The second reason is when child is grown up about 18, his parents need to many money. Parenting needs too much money. This is because these times much cost to take school like university or graduated university. So, in this time, his parents should earn much money. They need jobs. The third reason is about the second child. For example, the first child had born when 25. Generally speaking, there are 3 years between the first child and the second child. So, the second child is 28, the third child is 31. I think people should bring up 2 or 3 children. To keep national population, we need 2 or 3 children each family. Vice versa under 22, almost people can not independence from their parents. I think university students would be full-time students. Necessarily, they are economically poor. Since these reasons, the best age to marry is between 23 to 28.

I will express you why I think so.
First, I have a plan of my future. After I graduate this college, I want to go to the law school. I will have to study there for 3 years. And If I could pass the test to become a lawyer, I will study more than 2 years. If I wouldn't go to there, I wanted to go to the university which is in a foreign country. I will not come back JAPAN till 27. I want to marry after I come back my country. I want to marry after I finished my study.
Secound,if I had a child,I would have a lot of money to bring up my child. I want to be a mother till 30-year-old. I want to work in double harness for no less than 2 years and to save money for the expense of bringing up a child.
That's why I want to maeey at 28-year-old.

返信削除It is hard to give a "best" age for marriage. It differs from every person. When I feel ready, it's probably the "best" time for me.
But personally, I think that about 30 is 'good' age to get married.It would be so nice to meet a person who really suits me and get married in my early thirties.There are three reasons for this.
Fisrt, I have many things which I want to do such as making trips to foreign countries,improving my English skills,learning a lot and so on.
Second, I think I can be independent completely mentally and economically by 30 years.I have to earn money enough to support my family.And also,it's is essential to be mature morally.Anyway,when I get ready for marriage,it's time to marry!

first, I want to have a business before pleasure.
I want to concentrate on the work between 20s.
so, I would rather not think about other things.
second, I want to take good care of private time.
I must think to a partner when a marrige.
If that happens, I can't have to private time.
For them reasons,I want to stay single until late 30s.

返信削除I think that a timing of the most suitable marriage that I think of is time when I satisfied some conditions. I think that three following conditions should satisfy it.
At first it is necessary to have the money that is necessary for marriage in its hand. As oneself likes it in the school days, I was able to spend money, but cannot spend money to be able to hold it for oneself if I marry. Money is necessary for home. In addition, the expense of bringing up children is necessary if a child can do it.
To the second, it is necessary to get a job. Because the reason is because money is necessary as had mentioned above. I work well and have to have a stable income in its hand to support a family.
Finally the most important thing is love. Each other trusts it and must feel that you want to build the better family.
If three above-mentioned conditions are satisfied, I think that the age that is most suitable for marriage is good anytime. But I think the most suitable age to satisfy these conditions to be around 30 years old.
