I really enjoyed reading your essays from last week. In general, they were very well written. However, they were a bit short, so I encourage you to try writing a bit more this week.
Okay, this week I would like you to write an essay answering this question:
Some people believe that university students should be required to attend
classes. Others believe that going to classes should be optional for students.
Which point of view do you agree with? Use specific reasons and details to
explain your answer.
When writing your essay, try to use words like "which", "who" and the other methods we discussed in class to make your sentences longer.
Please try to write about 300 words, and don't forget to write your name in your response.
Best Wishes,
Kris

返信削除Many people believe that university students should be required to attend classes. .Surely, it is important to attend the class, but it is the most important what you can learn by attending the class. So, I think if you feel the class is not important and good for you, you do not need to attend the class. Instead of attending the class, you should use the time effectively. For example, reading books, studying the subject you are interested in, doing a part time job and so on. Moreover, university is not compulsory education. So, I think you do not necessarily need to attend the class and college professors should not call the role. Thus, I believe that going to classes should be optional for students.

返信削除Making classes optional would benefit students indeed. Students could study what they like and they would not feel stress of examination or their grade. However, this method seems to have negative aspects. Children may feel difficulties for talking with same years friends because they have less opportunities to see their classmates. Moreover, instead of teachers, their parents will have to educate their children and they will be busier with housework and taking care of their children. It seems that compulsory attendance to classes covers these negative effects on children. By making children go to school every day, they will find more friends and cultivate sociability by mingling in classmates. I have hated to go to school in my childhood, but once I went to school and met my friends I could feel my stress away and was able to think about things more positively. And I have many memories with friends whom I encountered in my elementary school and many of my memories are precious milestones. As for study too, children can cooperate each other to tackle difficult subjects and children will be encouraged to study more. Therefore I think children should go to school.

I think that going to classes should be optional for students. Because, unlike the compulsory education to the senior high school, the reason is because a university student is free. However, this freedom must accept a self-responsibility.
I think the university to be a run-up to become a member of society. Meet a friend in a class and hear the lecture of the teacher, and it is important that We study a favorite subject. In addition, what I enjoy the activity such as a part-time job and a trip, a circle, club activities with a student very much if there is not it and experience is difficult. They teach the thing which they do not teach at school. We learn any kind of thing in these four years and experience it, and that you grow up is person each. Therefore, I think both the class and the student to be should be a free viewpoint. But I spend too much it freely and should avoid only that you cannot graduate.

I think the students have to attend their classes. Because it is the universities’ students task to go and to study in the university.
Of course, the university student has the right to decide whether the man attend the lesson or not. But, the nation supports the universities by the tax. All of the university accepts a lot of money from the state, if the school is a private school. Because the university is thought it is one of the institution to solve the social problem. And the student will become a man who can solve the problem. The university and the students have to contribute to the society. So, the students have to study a lot. And the professor will be a specialist in one field. Students have to listen to their class and to do self-education at home. And some people cannot go to the university because they don’t have money. However, the people pay the tax. So the university students have to study to appreciate the environmrnt.
That’s why I think the students in the university have to attend their classes.

返信削除I think the attending of the class to be an individual liberty. This is because the class of the university is not a compulsory education. There seems to be no necessity for compelling attending in the class because the university is a place that should be learnt originally willingly. When the unit is dropped without attending, it is self-responsibility. Moreover, university students are socially an adult, and the right to act freely is possessed. It is okay that not attending classes. We have freedom.

返信削除I think that going to classes should be optional for students. Students have an individual liberty.
Of course , students could get more knowledge when they attend classes. They also can ask questions for teachers.
However, there are a lot of things which we cannot get in classes. Students could not enjoy the activities such as a long trip and a club and part time jobs, when they attend all classes. So, I think that going to classes should be optional for students.

返信削除I think university students should attend classes. There are two reasons to support the idea.
First, students in university are extension of high school students. So, they must study hard, that is to say go to university. And I think if they don’t go to university, they can’t understand the contents of classes. For example, a student is absent from the classes. Then, he can’t learn the contents because he is absent from the last class.
Second, all of students are based on studying. I mean when students in university are a member of society, the knowledge which learn in university will be useful. So, they study as hard as possible and should acquire the culture and knowledge.
That is why I believe university students should attend classes.

返信削除I think that university students should be required to attend classes. There are two reasons for why it is important for student to attend class.
First, it is because student's obligation attends one's lessons, and knowledge is deepened.
Second, it is possible to exchange it by going out for the class with other students. And, It makes a friend.
That is why I believe university students should attend classes.
